Amazon has PSN games now

I just noticed Amazon is selling some Playstation Network games now. Other than being able to avoid sales tax I don't see what's so great about this unless something costs less than $5.

Buying your game/points on Amazon has a few advantages if you are an owner of an Xbox or Wii. But there really isn't any advantage to buying on Amazon for a PS3 because Sony never charged for "points", but just the actual cost of the game you were buying.

It's cool because you can buy the code and just message it to your pals on say their birthday or Xmas and bam there ya go... One quick and easy birthday/Xmas gift.

Exactly. I've been wanting the ability to gift games for ages. The Wii has had it for a long time. I've often wanted to send a pal a game and hook up together in it online.

This can't come to UK soon enough.
