I'd never played much of Spitfire until I saw this hack. Good game and nice hack. It's cool when a hack gets you to play games you've not spent much time with before.

Just checked out this hack and it's very nice! The black and white hurts my eyes, though. I know it's more authentic, but Atari added color to all of their other vector games for the 2600. I mean, it's called the Red Baron, isn't it?

 

So, any of you hack masters feel like adding color again? I'd love to see it with a "Red" Baron, wouldn't you?

I still wouldn't mind some color and maybe a little more differentiation between the pillboxes and tanks, but I think I may have been mistaken. I thought you were shooting at the Red Baron, but looking at KLOV--it seems like you might be the Red Baron. So I guess the planes would be different colors. Anyone know?

It was a B&W monitor with a solid blue overlay. (Some other games with color overlays had sections in different colors, like Space Invaders and Battlezone.)
