7800 pause button

anyone open up a 7800 console to get a pause button working again is it replaceable, or cleanable ala 5200 controller.thanks for input.

You can replace the button, they aren't too hard to find. I found one at a local electronics store for $2. I never had much sucess in cleaning them.

Thats because its wired to the same input that the B/W switch is on a 2600.

Has anyone changed their 7800 pause button from a bounce button to a toggle, so you can have a true B&W switch for certain 2600 games that require it (Phasor Patrol, Starmaster, etc.)?

Starmaster doesn't need it..use the difficulty switches!

Check Lee's post earlier in this thread for info on how do it.

As Ubersaurus mentioned, many of the 2600 games that require the Color/B&W switch for gameplay have also wisely been programed to use one of the difficulty switches as an alternate.
