NoahsMyBro
A) Is there any manual online somewhere for the 5200 Diags cart included on the menu-driven 5200 multicart? Can the diags cart be used to test the various inputs of the controllers? B) I've recently repaired a previously fried 5200 (see earlier thread). The colors are somewhat off. Is there a pot to adjust the colors? Is it the large pot on the lower-right of the motherboard, near controller port 4? Thanks, Steve
CPUWIZ
A) Don't know about a manual for it and as far as I know the Diagnostic cart requires 2 loopback boards of which one only works on the 4 port (I have the controller port loopback board). I do know though that Pete's Test Cartridge has a controller test built in and it also has a couple of color calibration screens. B) I believe there are 2 potentiometers and yes the big red one is one of them. If you are interested in a Pete cart, drop me a PM.
+Mitch
The 5200 diag cart manual is included in the 5200 service manual which isn't on the web anywhere, as far as I know. Yes, the diag cart can test the controller except the upper fire buttons. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org

Well, you're certainly welcome to scan all of the hundred or so double sided pages, if you happen to own a copy.
