4Ks
I'm curious about what company's cartridges don't fit in the 7800 cart slot (besides Imagic, obviously.).
+Stephen
Tries oh so hard to not mention the obvious "what won't fit in the slot". Just can't stop myself Stephen Anderson
+Mitch
Imagic carts work fine in some 7800s, on others it's a tight fit. Tigervision carts are probably the worst if they have the dust cover installed backwards, as it make the dust cover prongs too long. shadow460
The slot can be modified to make any 2600 cartridge fit.
Atarifever
Imagic carts fit my 7800 pretty easily. They fit kind of snug, but they work just fine.
VectorGamer
Heck, even my 2600 Jr. Pac-Man cart is a tight fit...
Rex Dart
I have no trouble from Imagic carts, but M Network / Mattel carts won't stay in the slot. They pop back out like toast.

horseboy
Rex Dart has 57 posts and I think 53 of those are ancient thread bumps.

I agree 100%. This is not the only gaming forum where people bellyache about it. GET OVER IT! No one is harmed by posters reviving old threads. Hydro Thunder
And it might be an old thread to some of you guys, but.... I'm a real youngun to these forums, as well as to retro gaming other than emulation - let us new dudes get involved! So on to topic, I just got five 2600 carts for my 7800, two are Imagic. Of the two Imagic's I've got, Demon Attack goes pretty well into the slot, but Cosmic Ark took a lot of jimmy-ing, and eventually worked. The other three were fine, except that Galaxian seems to have a vertical hold problem, could be the cart and not a 2600 into 7800 issue. Koopa64
Hell, standard 7800 cartridges are a tight fit for my unit, let alone basic 2600 carts. I must have one of those bad units.
