carmel_andrews
Following on from s1500's post about worthy podcasts and not wishing to hijack his thread, I was just wondering as to if there were any UK/European classic/retro gaming and computing podcasts online or downloadable Nothing wrong with the American podcasts but I just thought it would make a change and also give a british/european perspective to classic/retro gaming and computing And are there anyone thinking of starting one up
triverse
I have heard a few that had British people hosting but not specifically on the UK gaming market. Some of the ones I have listened to have coverage from the UK but it is definitely not the main focus of the show. If you are still interested, I can post a few links for you. S1500
The closest one I know is Retro Gamer magazine's podcast. Their first podcasts weren't worth listening to, but they have vastly improved. As for ones that steer towards EU coverage of consoles(ie calling it the Megadrive), ZX etc, there's none I know of.
triverse
The one that comes to mind first and foremost would the Retrogaming Roundup podcast. It is about 5 hours long but there is one segment in each episode that includes a guy from Britain and I believe there is at least one more segment with mainly just a British guy talking. http://www.retrogamingroundup.com/index.htm I will keep looking around, I listen to quite a few a week while at work and will keep my ears open for more featuring British people. S1500
UKMike's segments, when he's doing segments actually about video games, do have a UK slant to it from his experiences. What I noticed is just about every video gaming podcast has some token Brit on it.
