emkay
No 16 bit support, neither optimized timing.... but still some idea with the available. BTW: The Atari has the graphics and the sound for a good 8-bit version of Dune wormsign.zip
+Stephen
Very nice! Just curious - why are the "timing bars" all over the place in this one? They normally just flicker at the top of the screen. Stephen Anderson
PeteD
Could be to make a PAL tune play at the same speed on NTSC? I've run it on A800win and set to PAL it's a static bar at the top, NTSC and it "flickers" probably calling the routine every 1.2 frames to keep the timing the same. analmux
Yes, newer RMT versions support 'exact' playing speed, independent of PAl / NTSC. So, indeed, the flickering bars are caused by 'timing corrections'.
+Stephen
Awesome! I usually have my NTSC gear hooked up so this exact playback speed is a great thing. Stephen Anderson
Heaven/TQA
oh... cool... then I should have a look on the sources for my unfinished projects where I have the msx... so... let's have a look on the RMT website for NTSC sources... emkay
This one is mainly the same. The difference is in some volume correction on the sweeps of some notes. This means volume correction without changeing the volume itself. It's done via filter offset changing. The result is playing everytime correct, so you might recognize that this feature is fully controlable, not some ramdom thingy. wormsigu.zip
emkay
Just for the Thread .... The tune is not "music" such like a song, it's some instrumental theme with oriental touched instruments. To make a 3 channel version even harder, the tune is based on channel-interleaving , crossing all 4 channels, to enhance the AMIGA's stereo sound. So this time straight original 64kHz programming is used for the tune. Probably, after solving the puzzle, I'd add some filter sweep for the main instrument(s) But the percussions and some main details work well already. If you'd like to listen to the beep, swoosh, chrrrr sounds, feel free to do so BTW. I have 3 tunes from Dune "Wormsign" "Fremens" and "Ecolove". Does someone know where to get the rest of the sountrack in MOD format? fremen4ch.zip
emkay
Pokey, 4 channels, and ambient sound? Hm.... eco4chn.zip
