+poobah
Nice... We've got 3 'corners' of Ohio covered =P I'd should add, I also have a oscilloscope, logic analyzer and rudimentary function generator. The scope comes in handy way too often. =P If you are going to work on this kind of stuff often, and have the opportunity to grab a working oscope inexpensively, I heartily recommend it. I have a function (sine, square, and triangle) generator and a scope, but it's a very old single channel. Also, the extent of my knowledge about how circuits work is red means positive and black means ground Can you recommend any good material on simple stuff like explaining how to properly bias transistors, how pull-up resistors work, how to choose proper resistor values for LEDs and that sort of stuff? Stephen Anderson The Forest Mims books that radio shack used to sell (maybe still do?) are generally regarded as a good start.
+poobah
I'm in Indianapolis, but I can claim Dayton Ohio as my corner of the state (Used to live there and I'm in town two/three times a month) Hey now, that's my corner already =P (Beavercreek is 10 minutes or so from Dayton)
Syfo-Dyas
Then you are more or less a fairly short drive down I-75 from me. You ever hit up the Amiga user group meetings around there?
