thomas3120
Greetings, I have looked at the Pinout FAQ here: http://www.atariage.com/2600/faq/index.html?SystemID=2600#pinouts Not really sure if these are looking at a cartridge, label up, and looking into the edge connector. (I believe it is but wanted to make sure) Just to be sure, looking at the Atari 2600 console itself. What would the first pin on the upper left side be? (Guess the pin closest to the ON/OFF switch) T

thomas3120
24 Thanks for the quick reply. Just to be sure again Would that make Pin 24 be: D3, ShieldGND, GND or A7 ? Edited March 12, 2010 by thomas3120

thomas3120
GND Thanks CPUWIZ So Pin 1 would be D3, right? One last question if you have a chance. Are there any Pins out of the 24 that are not used? Thanks again for the replies, Thomas

Are there any Pins out of the 24 that are not used? No. Hey CPUWIZ, I just want to thank you again for the help on the pin locations. I just did a FB2 mod video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLy7hwUouUA At first I was wanting to make a type of cartridge 'electric' switch maybe using the actual cartridge pins, when inserted for jumpering between the built in games to the cart port. I guess this could possibly be done (maybe using some resistors etc..) but it might have some undesirable effects. Ended up going with an arcade type Cherry microswitch mounted at the bottom of the cart port to automatically switch between the 2. Thanks again for your help on the pins!
