iratasan
Dear Atari friends, my name is Carlo I am from Rome, Italy, nice to meet you all here. I just purchased off Ebay USA an old Atari 400 home computer. Since it is a US model it has only RF out (NTSC) so i'd like to get it modded to have A/V output (NTSC output would be fine, but a full PAL conversion would be great). Now... i have absolutely no soldering / eletronics skills so basically i am looking for someone in the US who would be available to do the mod for me before it ships to me in Italy. Is there anyone out there who can help? I read this topic about a DIY mod: http://www.atarimagazines.com/v3n1/littlebrother.html And here on Atari Age i also read this topic: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/62 ... r-with-it/ Would this mod kit be of any help (someone on Atariage suggested so): http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-5200-Video-Mo ... 4a9fe17823 So.. is someone available to help out (in Europe too)? Thanks in advance for your kind help! Carlo
MEtalGuy66
The best mod for your 400 is to hook a wire straight from the left cartridge slot, to your AC electrical outlet.. This will produce a a very spectacular display..

Albert
The last two links in your first post are broken--can you try fixing them please? Thanks, ..Al
+bob1200xl
The 400 is not a good platform for mods, actually. Hacking one and then shipping it overseas is not going to be as practical as just buying a good 800 and shipping that. Is there a reason why you want a 400?
