Atari XEGS questions - RGB moddable, play 2600 games?

Put a VBXE in and you have RGB... although that's a somewhat expensive way to get it (albeit the only "proper" way).

 

And, it's 16 KHz type RGB, so is only compatible with certain monitors such as the Commodore 1084. Practically all modern monitors are the 30 KHz type, and typically also don't like 50 Hz video either.

 

 

You can get RGB by proxy... run it through a capture card on a PC, but then you can get other issues such as annoying lag and poor frame blending.
