New Mattel Aquarius games discovered...

Recommended Posts

Go buy yourself a sense of humor. You obviously don't have one if you can't see the hilarity in the concept of there actually being a viable Aquarius community.

Instead of having a pop at a small retro community (that you don't appear to know anything about) how about actually contributing something to the retro scene? It could be programming a new game for a platform you like, some pixel artwork, some box artwork, helping out with a manual or printing, new and interesting hardware, collecting donor carts, making a poster, basically anything. If you have the skills to help out then look for a project or two to join. If you don't have the skills or the free time to donate then don't criticise the people that do give their free time and put their own hard earned money into projects.

I don't have an Aquarius but that doesn't stop me being interested in new projects for it. In my mind its good to see old hardware being pushed into new frontiers.

well said groovy.

oldatarian, why do you dislike aquarius so much?

or are you just having some fun..... if you are just having some fun i understand that. sometimes i feel trollish too.

  • 1 year later...

Jay helped me in converting a WAV file I made of Space Collision tape into a CAQ file and dumping the Basic listing to a text file. The CAQ can be used in the Aqaurius emulator.

I have uploaded the dumps to the Mattel Aquarius Yahho Group and will be doing the same for Strike Force soon.

Hi, any luck on dumping Strike Force yet? ;-) Because I couldn't seem to find it on the Yahoo Aquarius user group files!

I sent the recording to Jay to clean up but it was too bad... I have to redo it at a better sampling rate... I just keep getting sidetracked. Space Collision is up on the Yahoo Group... I will try to get around to redoing the Strike Force CAQ soon.

No problem, I just wait and see when you had the time in doing so! Anything new is appreciated and let's just hope with the help of Jay and others the making of home-brew games will take off any day soon!
