Sleepy
I´m going to use an ATARI-ST-monitorsocket for my VBXE. Are there any established standard-pinouts for the use with an XL/XE already? I think ground, red/blue/green & composite video should be the same as used with an ST, H- & V-Sync also. Sound (stereo) could be at 1 & 5 (ST uses it as audio in & out). Thanks, Sleepy
Rybags
VBXE doesn't supply Sync, you take it off the mainboard. And it's Composite Sync, no seperate H/VSync, so you'd just route it to HSync on your output jack. AFAIK, only a few have taken the ST port route... only really useful if you're going to use an ST monitor, although using a DIN has the advantage that you replace the factory one and don't need to modify your case. flashjazzcat
I fitted an ST jack (to SCART) in tandem with the DIN 5 legacy socket. Looks good, and leaves plenty of spare pins in case you want to wire up stereo sound and such like.
pps
I fitted an ST jack (to SCART) in tandem with the DIN 5 legacy socket. Looks good, and leaves plenty of spare pins in case you want to wire up stereo sound and such like. I plan to use the ST connector, too. The advantage is that you can easily use a standard ST to TV (SCART) connector cable and you don´t need to cut the back of the computer for a new hole.
