+eebuckeye
I owned a C128 back in the day and it had amazing games (in C64 mode). I never wanted to get involved with classic computer gaming for the fact of having to get floppy drives, disks, etc... I picked up an Atari XEGS and flash carts from Atarimax that are amazing! I turn on the XEGS and the flash cart loads a menu system full of disks I put on the cart. I have a CF7+ and it is terrific but it does not offer the same ease of use and functionality of the Atarimax card. Of course the CF7+ does more and is really for a different audience. Does the C64 have any flash carts that operate like the Atarimax offerings? Thanks!
akator
To my knowledge... no. Your question is a popular one these days. I recently bought a uIEC/SC, it's a reasonably priced disk drive replacement that uses SD cards. Many people rave about the 1541 Ultimate/1541 Ultimate II because those are compatible with more software, but those were out of my price range. For VIC-20 users, there is the MegaCart. It would be great if there was something similar for the C64.
