dafivehole
I'd rather not do any soldering for the S-video mod so what is my next best choice? What cable would I need too? Thanks, Roger
Tickled_Pink
I'd rather not do any soldering for the S-video mod so what is my next best choice? What cable would I need too? Thanks, Roger There are two main ways. You should be able to get an Atari monitor-to-Svideo cable from eBay or someone on here. Otherwise most TFT monitors (in the UK at least) still come with an RF connection. RF on TFT doesn't always give a good picture, though. I am not a "mod-guy" too but this mod is really simple (only one solder) and you'll get a quality way better than standard videocomposite: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/158417-getting-back-into-atari-800-xl-for-nostalgic-reasons/page__p__1945521?do=findComment&comment=1945521
dafivehole
OK, so it sounds like I need a "monitor-to-S-video cable"... can anyone direct me to a "good" one? Thanks, Roger
+Philsan
I bought my s-video cables from this ebay seller: eBay Store: NKCElectronics In this moment it seems that he doesn't have them. Try to ask.
