Low sound volume 65XE

I have a 65XE with real low sound volume (using the monitor jack to RCA jacks on TV). But on RF the sound is normal. What would cause this? Anything to look out for?

Unless it's really quiet, I'd say it's normal.

 

AV input sound is just line-level and in my experience, most gear like set-top Digital tuners, DVD players etc will give quieter audio than an analog TV station.

It looks like all XLs seem to have a lower level volume and video signal by default. Just swapping between Atari 800/130XE and 800XL, you can easily tell the difference.
