+karri
The Lynx I and Lynx II have identical screen sizes. The Lynx I screen is closer to the player and is therefore much nicer to the player. I also prefer the size and weight of the Lynx I. The Lynx I has a protected cover for the cart. The only good thing in a Lynx II compared to a Lynx I is stereo sound and a button to turn the light off. So try to get a Lynx I. -- Cheers, Karri

More good things about a Lynx II -------------------------------------- It is lighter. The screen is almost scratch-proof. The batteries last longer. The cartridge goes in easier (especially PC boards). The paint doesn't come off. You won't get charged "collector" prices for one. LinkoVitch
they also don't resemble a skateboard I think Lynx II looks meatier
Gunstar
All the prices I've ever seen for either one have been about the same...never seen any "collector" price difference. I've seen both for sale between $30 and $70 alone, $99 for a case&adapter, etc. Another advantage of the Lynx 1 is that a Sega Game Gear's 'Super Wide Gear' screen enlarger fits it, and apparently not the Lynx 2. This magnifier effectively DOUBLES the screen size and is AWSOME! This advantage on the Lynx 1 is better than any and all Lynx 2 advantages for me, just to be able to use this product. I never play my Lynx without it anymore!
