Happy_Dude
Thinking of a purchase and Just want to know if the DC boot disk lets you play JAP games?
ubersaurus
Check out the Utopia boot disk, that will run most Japanese and european games. I recommend King of Fighters 2000, Space Channel 5 part 2, Shenmue 2, Ikaruga, and Super Street Figther 2 X.
ShinRyu05
shenmue 1 may not be an import but its still good. so don't miss that one.
sdstuff64
Yes,the boot disc lets you play all jap and eru games, accept for a few.And they will,or should, tell you if they don't work with it. A good import place,or the one I use,is www.ncsx.com good stuff!
Chuck Gill
The DC Gameshark will load imports too. I've only tried it with Vampire Chronicle, but it worked fine. -Chuck

Gunstar
I use a CD-X myself, it's a commercially available Japanese/Euro disc loader. I have an extra if your interested. I've heard good things about the Utopia disc too, but I'd never gotten a cdr copy to work, I have been successful with other DC cdr writes like QuakeDC and some of the homebrew games. So, if you can get a working copy, that's probably the best since it's free. Someone offered me one, but since I have the CD-X, I don't need it. The only import game I own so far is HeadHunter. Same game as the PS2, sort of a Max Payne(XBOX)/Metal Gear type of game, very cool. I highly recommend it.
Happy_Dude
Since I don't yet have a VMU I can only finish the first disc of Head hunter. But soon ... Very soon!
