+orpheuswaking
I have a 1040 STe and a SH204 (left over from when I had a 520 ST)... I was looking for DMA cables on Best & MyAtari and they both list the SH204 as not for use with the STe... Can anyone give me some more information on this? Also still looking for a DMA cable under $10 shipped

Also still looking for a DMA cable under $10 shipped I wonder if this has something to do with the "bad DMA chips" in many of the STe??? I freely admit I know almost nothing about this. I have this cable. It's in good shape, but on one end some idiot (not this idiot, some other idiot) gouged up the screw holes with a screwdriver that was evidently too big (pics). click on pics to zoom detail Edited July 13, 2010 by wood_jl

Also still looking for a DMA cable under $10 shipped If you cant source a real DMA cable, you can also clip down a 25 pin serial cable (providing all pins are connected) - I've done this on one of my systems and it works fine. I also believe that some of the ultrasatan cables are made this way?
