the-topdog
I have two spare Commodore PC-10 computers. Sometimes referred to as the Colt, these were IBM compatible 8088 computers in a standard PC desktop case. Both power up and the floppy drives seek and and a message to insert a boot floppy disk appears on the screen. I do not have any DOS boot floppies on 5-1/4" to test any further. Includes the desktop computer and power cord only. Asking $60 OBO for each... these things are monsters so shipping would be around $30. I will try to put up pictures tonight. Jess Ragan
Gut those puppies and put new hardware in the case... that'd be sweet. I'm going to have to pop over to Old-Computers.com to remind myself of how they looked.
the-topdog
I took some pictures. One of them comes with the original manuals and a keyboard! The other one is just the unit and power cord. You gotta love the Commodore logos on a PC Edited August 7, 2010 by the-topdog
+save2600
To quote Arnold in Predator: "You ugly mother f!@#ker"! Yeah, gut 'em and put Amiga's in 'em. lmao What a debacle these things were for Commodore. Primarily marketed in Europe, I remember reading how they were positioned to help finance Amiga development here in the States (they were sold at Toys 'R Us). Pure and utter BS. (not shitting on your thread, just pointing out the historical stain that they were/are - quite the conversation piece today!) Good luck with your sale! I wouldn't mind owning one, but I already had a doorstop of a computer once - the Atari ST! lol Edited August 7, 2010 by save2600
Mirage
Good luck with your sale! I wouldn't mind owning one, but I already had a doorstop of a computer once - the Atari ST! lol This made me laugh, because Frank isn't joking here, actually... I remember seeing his 520ST literally being used as a doorstop to his computer room Cool Colts, by the way... if I had to own a PC, it would certainly be a Commodore PC! the-topdog
I found a keyboard that will work with the 2nd machine. So both come with keyboards now.
