dooglehead
Is there a list of games not compatible with an Intellivision II? From what I've heard (from Wikipedia and other sources): -Shark! Shark! and Space Spartans had different sound effects -Super Pro Football has minor display glitches -Electric Company Word Fun does not work -Most (all?) Coleco games do not work
+thegoldenband
Most (all?) Coleco games do not work Exactly half don't work on an Inty II: Carnival, Donkey Kong, Mouse Trap, and Venture. But Donkey Kong Jr., Lady Bug, Turbo, and Zaxxon work fine. (I don't have DKJr and Turbo but I can confirm the others.) Also note that the versions of the first four above that were released by CBS (in Europe) may work on an Inty II. However, I have a SECAM version of Mouse Trap, and it doesn't physically fit in an Inty II -- there's a piece of black plastic on the cart connector that bumps into a set of ridges in the cart. According to the Decle site, the Donkey Kong and Carnival that work on the Inty II come in beige carts, while the Venture is a black cart; no word on Mouse Trap. Besides the things you mentioned, the only other issue I know of offhand is the one I mentioned in a different thread: there are two variations of Slap Shot Super Pro Hockey, and one of them won't boot on an Inty II because, like the four Coleco games above, it fails the EXEC check. I have no idea if there's any way to differentiate between the two, unfortunately, short of trying the cart out. dooglehead
Thanks for the reply. I guess that's why Donkey Kong wasn't working on the Inty II that I bought today.
