endrien
Besides the code snippets(LINK), is there a guide for starting into bB? Or is one supposed to go down through the snippets and look at how they are coded and then use that code to make their own game?
+Random Terrain
Besides the code snippets(LINK), is there a guide for starting into bB? Or is one supposed to go down through the snippets and look at how they are coded and then use that code to make their own game? Have you tried the Visual batari Basic Code Wizard yet? People were talking about writing a bunch of tutorials a couple of years ago, but one guy pretty much disappeared and others have jobs that keep them busy, so we're kind of stuck in a limbo period right now. As we get more bB users, the chances become greater that some of the new people will have the skills to write tutorials and do other cool things. I hope we'll eventually have custom kernels and starter code for just about every type of game you can imagine. It won't be as simple as clicking on a couple of buttons and a game is magically made for you, but you'll have enough of a head start that tears of joy will be running down your face.
