SignOfZeta
OK, the idea is to have the next meeting in October. It would be at my place, in Ypsilanti. We could either meet at Pinball Pete's again, or we could just meet here, which would give us more actual gaming time. It will be a Halloween theme. How much we put into this is yet to be determined. I'll try to put some pumpkins out or something at least. Everyone should bring some sort of Halloween or "spooky" themed game from the history of gaming, and make sure we have the means to play it (ie: I don't have a 2600, so bring one if the game is "Halloween" for 2600). I ask that we keep with harmless "T rated" games for the sake of my own fragile psyche. Ultra realistic 3D depictions of skinned children and cannibalism etc really put me off. I'm a wimp. Sorry! My original idea would be stuff like Spike McFang, Cotton, Castlevania, Ghostbusters, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, etc. Speaking of which, if anyone has a copy of Mr Bones for Saturn, I'm looking for that. As for the food, I like the idea in the other thread about everyone bringing different kinds of pizza. What we could do is just order from a crapload of places and just have a "pizza flow". There are many places that will deliver to my house. As for the date, speak up now or I'm just going to pick a date that is convenient to me and that will be it. Even if I'm the only person here, the October MCGG group WILL happen. Right now I'm leaning towards these dates, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31. Harry_Dodgson
I'd prefer the 23rd.
jboypacman
The 23rd would work for me too.
SignOfZeta
OK, unless something significant comes to light, the date is set for the 23rd. Now we just need to decided if we are going any place, or if we'll just meet here.

SignOfZeta
OK guys, I just got my old job at Lotus back, and I'm almost definitely going to be working 2nd shift, and my days off will probably not be Saturday and Sunday. I'll know more next week, but until then we should start working on a backup plan because I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make this meeting at all, let alone host it. SignOfZeta
Thanks. I'll only have 5 day weeks, but I'll be working every weekend. My days off will probably be Wednesday and Thursday, or something else useless for the purpose of the meetings. I get out at 11:00 though, so Jboy, Dalum, and associated female units can still stay at my place.
SignOfZeta
OK guys I'm off Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the foreseeable future. (Until the guy who got hit by a mail truck while riding his hog gets back). So I'm flaking totally on hosting the next meeting. Sorry If the meeting starts early I can at least be there at the beginning.

SignOfZeta
UPDATE: Sorry to be a psycho bitch about this, but there is a chance I can still host the thing on the 23rd. If my attendance at the Lotus Club track day gets cancelled (looking about %50 likely) then I can use my day off for the thing on the 23rd. I will know about this in the next couple of days. I wish I knew right now, but...my hands are tied. I'm waiting on other people. BTW, some of you are aware how adamantly I insisted that the Genesis I got from Chris was an early model, the ones that say "High Definition Graphics" on them, as opposed to the later cheaper ones with less screen print on them. Obviously neither of these systems are "HD" by today's definition, only the aesthetics are different...or is there more to it? Well, I only wanted an early model because I wanted the most original thing I could get (aside from a Japanese Megadrive, later) but what I didn't know is that there is actually a big difference in sound quality between these two as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFXCnEEAppo&feature=channel_page Skip to about 2:10 as the guy just yammers on about nothing for the first 2/3 of the video. Also, make sure you are watching the higher quality stream since the sound downgrades along with the crappier video. Interesting! The snare, in particular, turns to total mud. I am assuming you received the model 1 and you were ok with the high definition it claimed to have? Now I just need some games for ya' at the next meeting? What are you looking for? Pm me... SignOfZeta
Well, it looks like the thing on the 23rd is back on! My dumbass coworker smacked a deer with the green Elise yesterday and it won't be fixed in time for the track day. That means there won't be enough cars for peon employees like me. So, who's coming? Tempest
I'm in. I can bring Mr. Bones to play, but it's not for trade. . I've been meaning to try it out anyway. Hmmm. Maybe I'll bring my Neo Geo with Nightmare in the Dark. That could be fun... Tempest

SignOfZeta
OK, so who's confirmed at this point? I just got a text from Chris saying he's laming out to go study for a test or something In: JBoy Tempest Is that it? Harry_Dodgson? Since I don't actually read these forums often I even worse with name that normal. Who brought the projector last time? I have a great wall for that. I should have a slightly better TV situation than last time, but not much.

Tempest I can bring my pc tower with every neo geo game on it...so Nightmare is there already....and its pretty user friendly...(not a big porn collection like tempests, but....) I just need a projector to hook it to and if Harry is coming we are set for some fun..>! my tower has tons of arcade specials! SignOfZeta
As far as I know we will just meet at my place. That gives us more time to do actual gaming. Lets say...2:00pm. It would be nice if Harry would come. Like I said, I have a great wall for that projector. Someone PM him! BTW, when playing emulated games on my Mac I used a Super Nintendo controller. That's kinda like a Neo CD controller. Works pretty well for four button games. Chris, I thought you had some exam to study for...?
