Rev
This comes straight from the Official Intellivision Facebook page. My link Just one more reason why i hate gamestop. I rarely go there anymore. I go to toys r us,walmart, target, best buy and Play n Trade for games.
+atari2600land
How odd...I bought Activision Anthology for GBA there. You know, the one with 50+ Atari VCS games on it.
Tr3vor
yep. another reason why gamestop is dumb
rockman_x_2002
Well that's a rather elitist attitude on the part of Gamestop. "It might appeal to you 30-somethings and classic gamers but you're not really our base clientele, so the heck with ya." Fair enough. If my money's no good there, I'll take it elsewhere where it is. +Gemintronic
All this is weird because I bought Intellivision Lives! for the PS2 from them.
SoulBlazer
I'll check to see if Amazon will sell it. Being a niche release, that's probaly my best bet.
King_Salamon
Being a 30-something, Gamestop will no longer get any of my money... there are reasons to carry a title and reasons to not carry a title but saying that it doesn't cater to their customer base is lame. It won't be hard to find this title as WalMart or other chains will be carrying this I'm sure. For Gamestop to not carry a title... it seems very strange. I don't recall Gamestop ever not carrying a title for a system they sell in their store. You would think they would at least order enough copies for the pre-orders as they do with some titles. Just a really odd move by a company who would sell their own grandmother if it meant a profit.
+Psionic
Gamestop is still in business?
chrisbid
i wonder how much of this has to do with the publisher. it seems like they are new to the ds scene, and they likely do not have any connections with gamestop. as long as the walmarts and targets of the world pick this up and put it in their budget section, it should still do gangbusters. the 15 dollar price point is going to help it move a lot of units. intv fans need to root for this release to do well. this is the only way we will get to see a cart version of pro billiards or other unreleased games. Akito01
In the words of Professor Farnsworth, good news everyone! Intellivision Lives for DS is up now in the GameStop website available for preorder. They apparently will not be stocking it on shelves, but they will be selling it online. I've already put my preorder in, although the case could be made that other retailers are more worthy of our money.
+wood_jl
This comes straight from the Official Intellivision Facebook page. My link This link produces "content not found" or similar shit. Is there a reputable source for this information? I don't understand the Gamestop hating. I ignore, rather than hate. More often than not, there's a Walmart (or worse) nearby with the same shit for sale for the same price. Between that and online (amazon/ebay) why bother? Only thing I ever look for in Gamestop is the little baggies of used accessories, because although they're not all cheap, some are cheaper than online with no shipping and it if looks like a piece of shit I don't buy it. Anything else is just the same (full retail) as any department store, so why does Gamestop get so much attention, even if it's negative attention? Why would anyone buy anything from Gamestop for full retail when it's available for the the same at any retailer? I figured this goes without saying..... Gamestop's website seems to think it's going to cost $19.99. My big complaint with Gamestop is that they claim that Game Informer is the largest circulation gaming magazine in the world. Technically true, but only because they give you a year's subscription with purchase of their "Edge" card.

I figured this goes without saying..... intellivision/facebook removed it!!!!!. here is why as posted on facebook: Intellivision Apologies to publisher Virtual Play Games & to distributors & retailers, esp. GameStop, for jumping the gun talking about who will & will not be carrying the DS version. We know you're anxious to hear when & where you can buy it and we try to get out info as soon as we hear anything. But by repeating things that aren't... finalized, we've only caused problems, so we'll shut up till VPG releases official info. Sorry. Akito01
Gamestop's website seems to think it's going to cost $19.99. Gamestop has made the correction to the price.
