Akito01
For a first go, I was aiming for at least ten thousand, so I'm pretty happy with 12,640 to start.

+cmart604
Hmmm. I didn't bother taking a picture of my 7000 for Atlantis as I thought I'd just be getting a particpation point....must play again I guess.
Akito01
Atlantis - 34,300 points. Starting to feel pretty good about this. People don't like the game enough to play it a bunch, or are the big guns just lying in wait to crush my pride like a nut?

ed1475
10150 I just read the manual and learned that there is a flying saucer you can use by pressing "0" on the keypad. It has limited fuel and you get 4 times the points. I played a couple more games and really improved my score.

The UFO has always been my traditional go-to method for dealing with the night sequence, though this explains why I never knew that the UFO multiplied your scores -your score doesn't display during the night. I didn't immediately beat my high score, but I got close, and a full two days earlier than my current high score run. Things are starting to get interesting... cparsley
Yes to the UFO, and even if it crashes, it usually 95% of the time, gets reset at daybreak. I have seen about 15-20% of the time it'll even reset early (at dusk-nite) prior to the new day, but you can never count on it.
Akito01
At the risk of sounding dumb, how do you take a screen shot of the high score in Mission X? I just got my copy today and played through a game. I went to get the camera, but then the screen started scrolling along in a post-game display, and it stopped showing my score. Does the score pop up again, or do I just have to be faster with the camera?

It shows the score every time the runway scrolls by, about once every 2 or 3 minutes. If the screen goes blank, just press the disc to bring the scrolling picture back. It took me 3 or 4 tries to get a good picture. Edited September 13, 2010 by ed1475

Akito01
Mission X - 37,800 A minor improvement, but perhaps as much as I'm going to get. The game is a bit of a slog, and feels unresponsive in a way that I don't think is entirely due to the Intellivision II style controller.
