They didnt MAKE that.. They just sold it as a package.. That metal enclosure was quite popular and sold by quite a few companies, by itself, or as pre-built "solutions" for all kinds of systems.

That board is just a SCSI-MFM bridge.. They were made by Adaptec, Zebec, Etc..

ICD just packaged that as a kit, for people who didnt want to go through the trouble of sourcing all the pieces it took to put together a working hardisk system.

I think Sloopy said he has a few of those enclosures.

Heh. What "elements" are we talking about?

If youve got to worry about the "elements" in your house, you got major problems, IMO.

If you want a real authentic drive enclosure to go with an ICD setup, look for a FA*ST hardisk setup.. It's shown in that catalog. It worked with the MIO, and they sold quite a few of them. I saw one sell on ebay a few months ago for about $75.00

They made several different versions. One had a tape-backup drive installed in the front.. They were avaialable with single or dual hardisks inside.

I have one of those for my ST - anything special about it?

With the exception that I want one, not really. It's an ICD branded case with SCSI drive. If I find one, then that will complete my functional Atari 8-bit setup.

I have a SH204 for trade if your interested :)

Hello guys

I found the print out of the part of the schematics I talked about a few messages ago. Tomorrow, the NOMAM 2011 starts, so I don't have time to scan it or look for the digital version (and I'm not even sure that I have it) until somewhere next week.

sincerely

Mathy

hey Mathy, did you ever post that partial schematic after you found it?

Ken
