Are Activision International Edition all PAL?

Good afternoon folks. I have received from another ebay seller a "tested PAL game" that of course turned out to be NTSC.

As a standard rule, are all Activision's "International Edition" branded cartridges always PAL? Or are there exceptions?

And what about vice-versa? Are carts without the "International Edition" statement all NTSC?

In other words: as ebay sellers usually don't know what they sell, is it feasible to tell Activision PAL cartridges from NTSC only by inspection of the cartridge?

Thanks a lot.

Activision carts with the International Edition label are mostly PAL, but can also be Canadian NTSC releases.

Sometimes a white round sticker with a red N is on a Canadian International Edition label to show that the cart is NTSC.

Here are all known to exist Canadian releases from Activision:

Hope this helps.

I didn't see Freeway on that list. I own a copy that says "international Edition" on it.

Is yours NTSC and does it have the N sticker?

If not, then it's in this PAL list:

And, like Franzman said, here's the SECAM list, also containing International Edition label carts (but with a S sticker on the label):

http://www.atarimania.com/screenshots_games_atari-2600-vcs-p_total-page-step-format-publisher_5-1-200-4-3_2_G.html

If you happen to own a SECAM cart, pease let me know.

They're very hard to find and unfortunately still not dumped.

Thanks for the replies.

If I got it right, "International Edition" means the game is PAL, unless there are extra stickers.

On the other hand, however, Activision released many games without the "International Edition" statement which may contain a PAL game. Is that correct? What to do in this case? Is it possible to understand if the cartridge is PAL or NTSC by other details?
