Spector
The 7800 pad has the raised stick for directional movement, and I've seen the clips on Youtube where it has been removed, yet mine doesn't appear to allow that. The stick part seems to be moulded to the rest of it. Were some 7800 control pads made where you couldn't unscrew the stick?
Lord Helmet
I'm pretty certain that all of the euro pads have a removable stick. I have four of them that come unscrewed.

Any tips on how to do it? Clockwise or anti-clockwise? It just looks impossible to me.

Mayhem
Unless it's been glued in there...
raskar42
Unless it's been glued in there... could be previous owner stripped the threads and glued the stick on.

Okay I'll try, but I don't even see a gap between the stick part and the rest of it.
mimo
I have had a couple that have been glued in. I hate the bloody things so ended up cutting them off
