Cupcakus
I just can't seem to rescue her... who else plays Robin Hood? I put it on my flash cart prototype and played around with it for a few minutes :-) I could get inside the castle to the second level but navigating the stairs was impossible... :-)
joeybastard
Robin Hood is a pretty good game and the stairs are hard. Have you ever played the Colecovison one? It's much better.
+-^CrossBow^-
hehe...when I had Trey's PAL XONOX carts I tried to play Robin Hood...but couldn't even get outta the damn forest! I just kept running into more and more forests. Until finally getting arrowed by I guess the Sheriff's men?
joeybastard
Witha name like Crssbow I thought you'd be the best at this game!
Cupcakus
You gotta kill something like 11 of his men before you can move to the next screen :-)
+-^CrossBow^-
Witha name like Crssbow I thought you'd be the best at this game! Well...crossbows and bow and arrows differ. If robin hood had used a crossbow instead of a standard bow and arrow...two things would have been likely. 1. Robin would have the ability to pierce plate armor and shoot a further distance than he could with his bow. 2. Robin would have gotten creamed against a row or archers...as crossbows take longer to load and fire than a bow and arrow combo does. Many crossbows in use during the era that Robin Hood would have lived in, required the user to actually place their foot in a holster on the end to hold down the crossbow while either pulling the bow string or using a hand crank to wind it. They were more powerful for sure, but took considerable more time to load and fire. Crossbows were used more for long distance or guerilla sniper fire back in those days. Simply not practical for a quick reflex shoot. Crossbows are the rifles of bow and arrow technology. Okay...enough history...so 11 men have to be felled to advance. That helps...mayhap I should give this game another try.
King Atari
Robin Hood is probably my favorite XONOX game, not sure why, just fond of it, I guess.
