Lorfarius
I recently picked up a nice pile of C64 goodness with a couple of systems (1 is broken but suitable for spares), disk drive and a pile of games. I traded an Amstrad GX4000 for the lot so pretty chuffed.

Spoon
Interesting you have a Datasette 1530 with a 1531 box. Looks like a few tapes came with it, though. Anything of interest?

Or did the lot come with both a loose 1530 and a boxed 1531? Inquiring minds want to know
R.O.T.S
Very nice,is it all working 100%?
Lorfarius
Sorry for the long response but I've been slowly working my way through it all. The only game that didn't work out of this pile was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom but from what I've read online that's no big loss. Everything else worked a treat and I managed to get my hands on an Action Replay cart with a pile of disks so transferred tons of games onto blank floppies, my fav in the pile so far has been Supremacy which is a brilliant early strategy game. Everything else seemed mostly to be the Mastertronic cheap games.

All you need now is an Atari 800xl and 1010/1050 setup just to finish things off Lorfarius

BydoEmpire
Everything else seemed mostly to be the Mastertronic cheap games.I bet there are a lot of gems in there! I loved Mastertronic stuff, regardless of price. Of course, the price didn't hurt...
Seob
I would have kept the amstrad gx4000. Much rarer then the c64. But it's a nice collection you got there.
rockman_x_2002
I love my C64. Was my brother's actually but I didn't get a disk drive until six years ago for it, and I got an XE1541 cable along with it. Best thing I ever got! Only now I have a laptop with no LPT port on it so I need to see if I can't find a USB-based version of the cable that works win Win7. Do they make such (haven't searched yet, but I figured since we're on the subject if someone had first-hand knowledge it might save me the time)? They sell adapters that convert 25 pin lpt and 9 pin serial to usb The timing on those serial XE cables is pretty critical though, so USB adapters may not work. Would be worth a try if you already had one of course, but it's not a surefire solution. Personally, I'd just get a Jim Brain uIEC (or 1541-Ulitimate-II if you don't mind spending the money) and just be done with it, unless there's some reason you really need a cable solution.
