Eckhard Stolberg Posted December 8, 2002 Share Posted December 8, 2002 DevOS 0.2 has the fast transfer mode added, the menu display centered for PAL and the joystick port reset before game start, since there were some 7800 games that didn't do that during initialization. Most of the logic is in the PC program, so either BIOS version will work with any RAM cart. But if you only want to build yourself a 32K RAM cart, then modifying a Ballblazer board might be a bit easier, since it already has a place to put the logic chip into. Then you only have to add four wire jumpers to get a nice RAM cart. As a bonus you would be able to create games with POKEY sound.
