svenski
Hi, i have new atari, what is a revision? first revision of 130? how revision exists? Hi, usually that refers to the revisions of the motherboard design (layout, component, design changes)
Mathy
Hello w1k This is probably the first revision (version) of the 130XE motherboard that uses "64k by 4 bit" chips. These were also used in the European version of the 65XE and the 800XE (two names for the same thing). The motherboard in the picture only has two RAM chips and no CO25953 (U34), so it's a 65XE or 800XE. It's not that hard to upgrade those to a 130XE. Older versions of the 130XE used "64k by 1 bit". And the first versions had a small wire that Atari installed to fix a problem with the first motherboards. These 130XE's also still had preparations for U35. Instead of a CO25953, U34 was intended to be a normal PAL and U35 would have been a 74LS95B. When the 130XE came out, Atari had melted the PAL and the 75LS95B into one chip. sincerely Mathy
Rybags
It's only got 2 RAM chips... so it's actually a 65XE
