Music program that doesn't require a hardware dongle

So I have an Atari 520 ST and have been wanting to use it for music / sequencing for a long time. From looking at programs like Cubase and Notator it would appear like I need a special hardware dongle for them to work.

Are there any good programs for St that don't require special hardware?

check out the downloads section. this is currently the best atari music resource on the net and it's a pretty new site, I think it opened in 2010 or at least revamped in 2010

everything you need to make music and then find a community to share it with and discuss it is at atarimusic.net
