7800XM on Wikipedia

Wasn't the 7800XM shipped out today? I've been getting real anxious lately...

I don't think it has been.. I believe there was to be an automated email sent out (or something similar) when the systems are ready. They probably hit another snag.. No biggie.. I'm sure we'll hear from Curt soon. :)

I could see the tag being removed from the actual chip's article, but taking it out of the "Emulation and Homebrew" section of the Atari 7800's main page is nonsensical. This is precisely the sort of thing that would fall under homebrew.

Methinks someone who is unhappy with the XM's progress (or lack thereof) is making some edits, as the user history of the individual in question is ONLY removing those two bits.

Not to knock the XM, but that line probably doesn't belong in the article. It's poorly written and only serves as an advertisement IMO...

That said, I can't wait to see how the XM is utilized in the future.

I'd say it belongs in the 7800 main article, but not the yamaha chip one. One of the frustrating parts about Wikipedia is that sometimes niche items only get net coverage, not print, which menas that they're hard to include under wikipedia standards.

Yeah, I totally agree. The Yahama article is just a silly place for it.
