Tickled_Pink
I picked up a faulty Xbox off eBay to fix. The rrod problem was mentioned, but not the faulty eject button. When it got to me, it worked for a while and I was able to test the drive. It's fine. I could eject the drive from the control panel. It's just the button. However, now the rrod is flashing away I can't retrieve the error code. Is there a way of doing it when I can't use the eject button. And it is the physical button that's knackered, not the plastic button on the front.
Rex Dart
Possibly... I think there's a wire you can short in the drive's power cable that controls the disc tray. What're you talking about with retrieving an error code with the eject button, though?
keilbaca
If you take out the motherboard, you can see that the button is just a simple switch. You can combine the two pins on the bottom of the motherboard, where the switch is, for that code.

But I'll probably just try a reflow on the GPU.
