Heaven/TQA
mabye you have noticed that: www.hardsid.com is run by former coder of HARD software in hungary: hard have done these brilliant demos on atari 8bit: - veronika - joyride they never gained resprect in the "scene" just to the fact that they ripped C64 SIDs & fonts and converted them to 8bit POKEY (That's why they sound so "non POKEY" like...) and haven't composed own stuff... but Tamas Bene (one of the coders) is brilliant... and Sanji (the hardsid man) as well... now you know why they use SIDs... http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/6084/ heaven ps. the hard logo was rendered by me on Maxon' cinema 3d software on Amiga lightyears back... emkay
Hard- Software did one thing that were better for the ATARI 8-Bit done since the C64 got standard in graphics and sounds in games. Put them as good as you can on the computer to reach the original! Most Songs (Ghostbusters/Thrust/One Man and his Droid etc.) between 1983 and 87 are still sounding better on the C64... not in the fact, that the SID may be a better Hardware, but in the fact that the Sound-Routines on the C64 are allmost better in every time. Even though the Graphic-Routines are made better on C64..... Hard- Software did one bad thing: They didn't make any notices of their techniques they reached on the 8-Bit... in fact they tried to hide ist too... Maybe it were possible to have already a 1 to 1 Last Ninja Remake, with ATARI Add-Ons (better graphics and better sound), if the Demo Groups built a technical library.... ...and.... what was the problem in the time when Games were made in one Softwarehouse, simply to copy the routines? ....{ hmm }
