Marius
I suppose a 0 Ohm resistor is replacable by just a wire? I want to 'downgrade' an Atari 130XE to 65XE. I need to install those 0 Ohm resistors on the place of that special memory management chip. After that I'll install Hiass 512KB Sram upgrade in it. GroovyBee
Yep! A wire is just as good.
fibrewire
Zero ohm resistor is used instead of jumper wires because it would require a separate welding machine to hold jumper wires at the manufacturing plant. +bob1200xl
I have a bucket full of 1 ohm resistors that are essentially the same as wire. I think they look better than wire and even as much as 47 ohms would do the job. Some of the signal paths have 33 ohm resistors in them to reduce noise on the circuit, so throwing in some 47s won't be a problem. (there are some jumpers that provide power to an IC pin - know what you are doing... that would take a 1 ohm) Bob I suppose a 0 Ohm resistor is replacable by just a wire?
