Savetz Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 I'd like to make my 800XL act as a terminal to my Mac - to access the Mac shell on the Atari. I thought I'd be able to figure it out, but haven't had much luck. My setup is : Atari 800XL -> 850 -> USB-to-Serial (using port 1) -> Mac's USB port I've tried 850 Express (no data seems to be transferred), and Telelink 1 ("RS232 ERROR: 130"). Maybe my port speeds aren't synched. Maybe the Atari doesn't see the usb->serial cable. Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks Kevin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
evilmoo Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 What process are you running on the Mac? Are you using something like getty to give you a log in prompt?
