Speaking of which I've updated the All-time Ratings and Records for the games played this season. I'm thinking this 5200 version is much harder but both are excellent games, my favourite remains Millipede but I love Bug Attack too, we are just spoilt in 8-bit land I've played about 50 goes today, got 38K with the T-Ball and 35K with the joystick, they both have their advantages :!: On Myriapede the menu screen shows when you hold down Start but not otherwise - the game seems to autostart, anyone else get the menu to work Myriapede - 34, 670 et finis! justin case Posted April 13, 2011 Share Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) ..giving the Trak-Ball a little bit of attention (after giving it a good dusting ): It's such a nice bit of kit, I would fully recommend tracking one down folks Does the right button work on your unit (mine doesn't which wasn't fun for my friend yesterday as he is left handed!) score for Mr_Greggles :!: 9,715 - hopefully he'll be allowed to post soon I've not improved my score but have had a zillion attempts... plenty of time left The poll for the next game is open Round 7 - NLM and others if you want to suggest any of your favourite games to play you can add them to the games list It wasn't the trackball that put me off - left hand on the ball, right curled round the back pounding the button (reminds me of that weekend in Thailand!) no problem with that. It was the trip down memory lane that nobbled me - I remember the graphics being smoother; I wasted 2 lives trying to re-focus my eyes! Hey, look at that - made it on the score board despite the eyes (& the Russian influence) Now that I know it's a spider I'm sure I'll do much better (or I'll never be able to show my face on this forum again (reminds me, I must dust off the old avatar) (yes, he's not alone, I comment out loud too), and every now & then someone will post a link to this post and ask "What ever happened to Greggles?") Who is this guy :!: Great to see you here Mr erm _Greggles! (and here's me thinking you'd have gone for Gremlin (remember playing The Great American Cross Country Road Race?) As well as altirra believe it or not there is another new emulator on the main 8-bit forum Atari800. Screen shots are optional. If you or anyone else wants to play any of the games you have missed this season I'll dish out a few points to get you up and running. I've had a decent go at the bonus game Myriapede 43,070 It's not a bad game at all. If you think I've got a cave then checkout Mr Atari (click on Hobby room) I want to move there p.s. you nearly made the extra man at 12k. I don't feel this is necessary, though. Centipede and Myriapede are designed for NTSC. Both very playable at the correct speed. I tried Berzerk in PAL via emu. If the emulator is correct, it seems the versions available for download have broken controls in PAL.
