Went yard sailing again this weekend and picked up a filthy Sega Dreamcast for only $5.00. It only had one game with it, Airforce Delta, that was so scratched up it looked like someone had used it for a coaster. Good news is that everything actually works! Spent about a half hour cleaning it up and now it's as good as new. :) Now I gotta find me some cheap DC games......

Went down to Columbus today, while I was there I went to GameCrazy across the street from Polaris Mall, and wow they had alot of stuff. Well, i figured that GameCrazy would have gotten rid of there stuff just like EB/GS but much to my surprise, they didn't. They had everything from NES to PS3, and nice amount of accessories and other stuff. Which, since my favorite gaming store, Game-O-Rama went out of business in '04, it is my new favorite video game store. This is the first time I've seen DreamCast games in stores for a long, long time, and I needed some DC stuff, since I haven't bought anything for it since I bought the system lot.

Here's what i got for a total of $20.25

--Official Blue DC VMU ~$7.99

--Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 ~ 2.50

--Sega GT ~$2.50 (I have to take it back, doesn't work at some parts)

--New Logitech Wireless PS2 Controller ~2.99 (The one that currently retails for $19.99 at Wal*Mart, it was in the front of the store, the super clearance area.)

--New Onimusha 3 Katana PS2 Limited Edition Controller ~$2.99 (This goes for cheapest $70 shipped on ebay, but mine didn't have the stand or reciever, so that means I can't use it....*sigh*, at least it will look pretty good with my other video game items)

Nabbed a loose copy of Sol-Deace for the Genesis for 2 bucks yesterday. Cartridge is very clean, too. Great shooter!

You should had gotten the Sega CD version of Sol-Deace, Sol-Feace. Same game but with a CD redbook soundtrack (which is ten times better than the cartridge soundtrack). ;)

Had a few interesting finds today...nothing too earth shattering, but fun stuff nevertheless.

At a 3 for $5 table at the flea market:

The Peace Keepers (SNES)

Electronic Football (Tiger Handheld)

Tandy Rocket Pinball (LED Pinball Handheld)

Found in a big tangle of cords on the ground at flea market, purchased for $1 total:

1 set of 2600 paddles

2 2600 driving controllers

2 2600 Quickshot joysticks

2 2600 Challenger joysticks

2 Star Raiders keypads, w/ overlays

Mad Catz PS1 steering wheel, complete with foot pedals

2 for $5 at Game Crazy:

RoboTrek (SNES)

Super Battleship (SNES)

Man, the only Game Rush 'round here has almost no 8-16 bit era stuff, and what they do have is WAY too expensive. 10 bucks for a loose Genny Altered Beast? Blah.

Damn, 2.50 for RoboTrek? That's a STEAL man! I absolutely LOVE that game!

The 8-16 bit stuff at our Game Crazy locations is all overpriced individually. But a few months ago they started selling it all 3 for $10. Now it's 2 for $5. I'm pretty sure they're phasing it out...so yeah, good prices, but it's bittersweet.

I was pretty excited about RoboTrek once i got home and did some research on it...i basically just bought it because of the Enix name, but i've had a couple people today tell me it's a pretty great game. I think i'm gonna have to bump it up to the top of my queue. :)

Hell yeah it's a great game. Has one of the best senses of humor of any 16-bit RPG, and I love the way you fight by customizing your robots to go out and battle for you. Very, VERY cool.

One of my proudest achievements in collecting is getting all of the U.S. release RPGs for the Super Nintendo, and there's only a couple I need for a complete U.S. Genesis RPG collection.
