guus.assmann
Is there a version of GFA Basic that works on a Falcon? And what mode or configuration should I use then. I do have some versions, among which a 3.6 that works on a TT 030. But this doesn't work on the Falcon. Where can I get a working version for the Falcon? Christos
3.6TT does work on the falcon. You just need to start it from either a TT or an ST compatible resolution. GBE will work as well.
simonsunnyboy
I second Christos but I also want to detail his statement. 640x480 16 colors VGA mode works best with 3.6TT but I would strongly recommend using GBE, esp. if you are already running a multitasking OS like Mint or MagiC on your Falcon. guus.assmann
Yesterday I've tested it, and if I choose compatibility-modus it works fine. But the it's only in 2 colors of course. I've been using no other things than the most rudimentary setup. With the exception of a CF-card instead of the IDE-HD. What's GBE ? I'm not familiar with this. GBE is a short name for a revised GFA-Basic Editor I created. Unlike the old editor that doesn't play well with multi-tasking, mine does. In fact mine does not play well with single-tasking. Its 100% token compatible with the v3.6 and many bugs squashed in the compiler, linker, and library. Can be found here: http://userpages.bright.net/~gfabasic/html/gfabasic.htm If you are using plain old SingleTOS, use the old gfa editor. If you are using some tasking OS, you have two options: Old GFA editor with some patch, like Bastard (yes, funny name for a patch) or GBE.
