kisrael
Is there anyway to enable notification for private messages? In my experience, the private msgs are a rarer and kind of 'more important' event than the ususual 'someone has responded to a topic you posted in', and so would probably deserve the same level of response...just a suggestion. Happy_Dude
That is a great feature of this site If you're not getting them edit you're profile. Just under or above notification for threads is an option for pop-up window notification and email notification Hope that helps ya out :)
kisrael
I see: *Always notify me of replies: (Sends an email when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post ) *Notify on new Private Message: *Pop up window on new Private Message: (Some templates may open a new window to inform you when new private messages arrive ) Is that second one supposed to mean Notify by Email for Private Messages? All these things are set to Yes, and I got the popup when I came to the site to check on a thread, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get an email notification for the two private messages I received. Bug? kisrael
Never mind, I'm an idiot. I got the notofication, but my whitelist email system wasn't recognizing it as important mail. Sorry!
Happy_Dude
Could be a technical bug, but I'm not a tech guy *Notify on new Private Message: Sends you email notification. I use Netscape mail and it has a neat little pop-up mail notification thing whenever I get any mail If you're using Outlook you have to "Refresh" every so offten to see new messages in my experience
