MCS format - suitable for replacment of antic e???

Emkay, you seem to be still interested in Atari 8-bit  

so why not try to re-code the MCS stuff ?  ;)

Or at least can you prepare the one-doc-MCS-faq  

to easily spread it among some Polish coders I know ? :)

 

 

 

The most information about MCS you just see in this thread.

Additional the players are aligned on the screen like the following...

 

PL1 M1 PL2 M2 PL3 M3 PL4 M4

 

....PRIOR sets the Playfield in front of the PMg and the missiles have the same color like the players. PMg is at low-res and double lined res.

 

 

 

Unfortunately the coder doesn't know English... :(  But I could  

translate and send him your suggestions....  The documentation

for GRAPH2FONT was written in Polish, indeed.  So I think  

when some more English-speaking Atarians will want to use  

this, I could prepare English infofile for this, ok ?

 

 

A tool to draw the pics directly is recommended. To build the graphics for the charmode res. of 4x8 pixel, the draw-screen needs a raster for this, to build graphics for this resolution. I used the ATARI ARTIST and created a raster before drawing (BURG / Balls PICs) ...

It has to be possible to exchange color-registers in the 4x8 Raster to optimize the PM-overlay too.
