Animan
We can't make a cart of something that doesn't exist yet . Any Coleco programmers out there think such a feat would be possible? Edited June 26, 2011 by Animan
newcoleco
May I suggest to get the game Gulkave that was ported and published reccently... it's pretty much an R-Type game.

Opcode thought so. It could be done with the extra memory offered by the Super Game Module, combined with a 256K MegaCart. Would be a ton of work to get running properly on the CV though, and I know Opcode clearly prefers Gradius over R-Type. EDIT: I'm talking about a port of the MSX version of R-Type, of course. Actually the MSX version of R-Type is 3Mb (384KB), which is a very unsual size. I heard it has a lot of duplicate stuff, like the programmers were fighting the MegaROM and couldn't figure out a good way to break down the code. And yes, I prefer the Gradius series, but both Gradius I and R-Type I were well ported for the MSX. I have a few issues with sound in R-Type, I think it could be better, and the port also has a couple of rough spots, but otherwise very fine efforts. Of course both pale when compared to Konami's Gofer no Yabou (technicaly speaking). On the other hand I think Gradius I has the best balance of the 3, at least it can finished by mere mortals.
