Gunstar Posted January 1, 2003 Share Posted January 1, 2003 I got Shogun Total War for X-mas, but it crashes and I found out from the site that it's because of a DVD-WinDVD incompatibility problem. There is supposed to be a fix for this bug, but on every link I've found for the patch, I get a 404. NONE of the links are working anymore, which is really lame, since the game is only like 2 years old. Anyhow, I'm hoping that someone here can help me out with a good link or maybe they have the patch file and could e-mail it to me? The link I got that doesn't work is http://thesims.ea.com/us/downloads/ivi_fix.zip This comes from the EA customer support site (some support! EA-you suck ) at: http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eatech...._faqid=7462&p_c that's not the whole address, but it ... after that on my printout. Anyone have this game? With this problem? It apparently only effects systems with DVD drives instead of regular cd-rom drives. I REALLY need this patch or else the game is worthless to me.
