masschamber
Just a quick explanation, This summer I had to teach a project based math course for seventh graders, and I wanted to do a programming project, at first I was going to teach C; however, I decided it would be too difficult for these kids with no programming experience. Anyway to cut to the chase I wanted to use something user friendly enough that 7th graders could understand, simple enough that they wouldn't get overly ambitious, and the result would be a very enjoyable, so batari basic seemed a perfect choice. The results have been fantastic, the level of student enthusiasm is incredible, I've had students voluntarily work on their games at home, and the administration is thrilled. You've provided me with something that has made it possible for students that struggled with simple equations able to become acquainted with computer programming. Well today the first student was finally able to complete a simple game (fast food chases a muscle man around a maze while attempting to collect dumbbells) and I just thought it'd be fitting to send out a Thank you to all the people that put batari basic together. Nateo
Now that is cool! What are some examples of other students projects? I always love seeing what kids create when they're given those kind of tools.

I will as I get permission from the student, case by case, one kid actually is doing something interesting, He's creating a book trailer in which all of the visuals are basically cutscenes created from the game he is making.
