Chris Leach
Does anyone here own one of these? Pipboy? Just curious as they seem pretty rare?
98PaceCar
Yup, I have one of the elusive American @World models with the 3 inner boxes. I'm missing the outer box though. I have managed to get 1 game for it, some Gundam thing. Kind of a cool system to own, but largely useless! http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/abt-coll-98-6.htm
Rex Dart
I've always been interested in the Pippin, but never seen an actual console. What does it boot to without a game loaded in?
98PaceCar
Honestly, it's been a while since I've even tried it, so I don't remember anymore. I know it came with an internet disk that had a browser and some other misc utilities on it, nothing exciting. I'll have to try it out and see what it does. rolenta
I have a Japanese Pippin ATMARK. A boxed American @WORLD was on Ebay recently but I think it was missing cables so I didn't bother with it.

tz101
I have wanted Pippin for a long time. Who will sell me theirs for cheap?
Guest
Never had one, or even seen one. About 10-15 miles away from me is a Apple Reseller that has a museum of old apple stuff. Lisa, II, Just about all Apple stuff. The only thing they don't have (or at least I haven't seen) is a Pippin and a Apple I.
coyo5050
I have a Japanese Pippin ATMARK. A boxed American @WORLD was on Ebay recently but I think it was missing cables so I didn't bother with it. I have a new in box Japanese Pippin also. Wouldnt have bothered but got a good deal. The "american" @world on ebay are actually black japanese version with just the console box, missing the other 2 inner boxes and the main outer box. Finding a black controller to match is near impossible or expensive.

Finding a black controller to match is near impossible or expensive. There must have been a warehouse find on those, there was a large cache of them recently on ebay. I didn't go for it, but I'm sure in like 5 years you can sell it for 5x as much. I have a black pippin, I think it's an @world, not sure though. The keyboard/touchpad accessory on mine doesn't work, but I just like burning images, putting them in the pippin, and laughing about how bad they are. It is an interesting system for sure. retrorussell
Aw man, I thought you were talking about Plush Pippin. That restaurant's been gone for like 20+ years.
Brian O
I have a rare Apple "Scottie" Pippin. -B
Draikar
I have a rare Apple "Scottie" Pippin. -B Sorry to say the Scottie Pippins are as rare as horse sh*t, and not the rocking horse sh*t. I think the Apple Pippin can play Apple Mac OS 7.6 games ?
TwiliteZoner
I have a rare Apple "Scottie" Pippin. -B Exactly. The reason it's so rare is that it was found to be defective when not paired with Apple's Jordan chassis.
