atarian63
is there a device for Amiga like Sdrive Nuxx on A8? Have had several amiga's cd32 etc always such a pain with floppies. SDrive Nuxx simplified my Atari 8bit and made it much more enjoyable to just sit down and play a few games. Maybe an all in one amiga (small with SD reader)? Just curious, would like to have a bunch of arcade shooters for the Amiga without all the hassles.
skosh
I believe this one fits the bill. http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/ It supports many different computers / keyboards / samplers / CNC machines.
+remowilliams
Your best bet would likely be check out the HxC Floppy Emulator. lotharek sells assembled units on ebay. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170691615940 Though an Amiga properly fitted out for WHDload makes gaming very pleasant. Cebus Capucinis
HxC is great! I use one with my Miggy all the time, and it plays just about everything you can throw at it.
atarian63
Sound great! I am on it! Thanks everyone for good advise! Looks like it connects to St/Amiga and several others, did not see how to physically connect to amiga in the auction (i.e. cable)also I am assuming straight load, no workbench? as I recall most arcade type games just booted from floppy. would like to find an a600,some small footprint amiga. desiv
Looks like it connects to St/Amiga and several others, did not see how to physically connect to amiga in the auction (i.e. cable) It hooks to the floppy cable on the ST/Amiga, so it just replaces the floppy. also I am assuming straight load, no workbench? as I recall most arcade type games just booted from floppy. would like to find an a600,some small footprint amiga. Yep, most disks (and their images) boot straight into the game. No WB needed. desiv

(kidding) Well we sold many of them in the day and I have owned several. Just want it for a game machine without having to deal with the o/s. Never seemed to work out and always sold them. Mostly I am bored. This looks like a great solution and amiga shooters are good! besides it's an atari sort of.
