RelliK111
I was trying to find out some info about a game I picked up called Theamk. I was wondering if anyone new the rarity of this game and/or the story on this game. I know it's Zeller game but didn't see it on the list of Zeller games and I have been having trouble finding out info about it. Thanks for your help Here are a few pics Edited September 21, 2011 by RelliK111
Stan
http://www.atarimania.de/detail_soft.php?MENU=2&VERSION_ID=12928 I believe it's the same game as Maze Craze. I like the boxed version with the pirated Megamania art.

I love the Zellers carts though. I love how none of the labels seem to have anything to do with the game.
Rom Hunter
Zellers carts are NTSC and have a white printed price tag on their boxes. Same Taiwanese manufactory, though. Edited September 21, 2011 by Rom Hunter
RelliK111
I have seen that site before and that was the main reason why I was puzzled because they show 3 different arts and that doesn't fit what I have heard about Zeller games. the box that they show doesn't look like other zeller games boxes also(no Zeller price tag). I don't have the box for this game and I have never seen a box that matches the carts art. I have 6 other zeller carts and they look just like and match with all the other zeller games from the type of case to the style of art work. The other 2 carts they show on the website don't seem to fit with any other Zeller games.
Rom Hunter
All correct. That's why it's no Zellers cart. I'm sure different artwork exist for these Taiwanese non-Zellers boxes. The Megamania one shown in our database is just one of them. Edited September 21, 2011 by Rom Hunter

Rom Hunter
My guess would be R4.
RelliK111
My guess would be R4. So you have seen this game all the time???
Rom Hunter
Lots of times. Believe me: it's not rare at all.
Stan
And it's nothing desirable in terms of content. If I want Maze Craze, I'll get the real thing, just about as rare.
RelliK111
It looks like a Zeller game to me. One thing I don't get is on your website shows as Theamk, with the box and the space ship, yet Atari Age show that game as Radar with the same box art. Who is right? look at the pics http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=759 http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-theamk_12928.html
nofrills100
It's really rare and it's worth about $875.67

Rom Hunter
It's a generic box: Sometimes a title sticker is on the box, sometimes the title is printed. Trust me: there are tons of them. Theamk is just one of them. That's why Zellers boxes differ: they carry a printed price tag.

Rom Hunter
ROMHunter, you know TOO much about VCS games... And still the VCS keeps surprising me. Take this one, for example: Freaky.

Why wouldn't it? Sometimes the artwork on the cart does not match with the artwork on the box. Especially with Taiwanese Atari 2600 Compatible boxes: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-cracker-pet_17488.html But to answer your specific question: no, I haven't seen a Atari 2600 Compatible box with the exact artwork of your Theamk cart yet. Stan
If he didn't we wouldn't have someone to shoot down people who keep tugging on the belief that their game is worth something.
RelliK111
If he didn't we wouldn't have someone to shoot down people who keep tugging on the belief that their game is worth something. I'm not "tugging on the belief" that my game is worth something . I would just like to know what I have (plus Stan just because a game may be rare doesn't mean it's worth anything, you need people to want it for it to be worth something). Unfortunately nobody can really give me a straight answer or just doesn't know about this game. I understand the pics of the fake games that Rom Hunter was showing but how does he know that my game is a "fake, bootleg or what ever " if you have never seen the box for it? (I know that Zeller games are bootlegs also)? I have heard that the only real way to know that a game is a Zeller game or not is if you or someone has seen the box and it shows the Zeller price tag. I also know that there was no catalog for Zeller games so nobody really knew what games and how many where released for the store. So the only way to know is to find them with a box. I do want to say thanks to Rom Hunter for trying to help (or as Stan was saying "shoot me down") I know you didn't haft to give me any info plus it was very interesting see all the different games, but It looks to me like it's getting grouped in with the other fake Theamk carts because nobody knows where to put it. I could be totally wrong and maybe he is right and its a R4 game and maybe 5 of them will show up on ebay tomorrow . I have yet to ever see another one before(except in 2 pics and both of those looked like the same pics) and there is none for sell that I have seen. I collect lots of games and systems and the Atari 2600 is the hardest to collect for by far because of all the crap and mystery games that I guess just seem to pop up here and there. I like the Atari 2600 for the very few gems it has and some of the homebrews. I got this lot of zeller games because I liked the art and thought the carts looked cool, thats it. I put this up here because I thought I have seen a lot of different carts and I haven't seen this before. Rom Hunter showed me that there's a shit ton of games that I haven't seen before. If its something that's worth something great if not will I guess it goes with 99% of all Atari 2600 games . Rom Hunter
I'm not saying your game is fake (btw: a fake and a bootleg are two different things). It's just not a Zellers game. I would have known it if it was. And I know exactly where to put your cart: in the Atari 2600 Compatible category. There's no doubt about that.
