jens Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Well, I believe I told you already but maybe this is a piece of warning to other people: Another classic-computing guy had severe problems as actually no one told him his things were waiting for him at the customs office... They were sent back after some time, and he had to ask for a second delivery a short time after which he contacted the customs office to ask if he could fetch his box. Not too long ago, I sent some power supplies to Chris (Exxos) in the UK for repair. Even though we tried to tell UK customs that they were only staying a while, and being sent back to me in the US after repairs, they insisted on charging an import tax on them, by *weight*. Any account that hadn't been active for longer than 2 years was deleted. We had over 750+ users listed, but only about 200 or so that are actually calling. Some of those accounts hadn't seen a call in over 10 years... At least 1 person (jens) who had called in that time frame was accidentally caught and deleted as well. I don't know of any other BBS with a similar name. As far as the people on the winners list, all of them are callers to the BBS. I'm not sure how many other places they visit, post or are seen. I know I've seen a few of them, here and there. Let me know if you get a telnet address to a second DarkForce! BBS - I'd love to call them. PSS Sorry about being late gang, but real life intruded. My youngest, Alexia (11) had an archery tournament that took up a lot of time. I guess playing a female Elvish ranger at home in our D&D games, aswell as reading/watching "The Hunger Games" paid off... It was the 2014 District 13 Regional Tournament, with 309 shooterspresent, in an all day event Saturday.She got 1st place female, middle school division and 1st place team,middle school division.She did good.
